Address resolution
Address resolution is the payment-grade discipline of classifying, validating, correcting and rendering postal addresses into compliant ISO 20022 structures — distinct from postal validation, which merely confirms deliverability. Deterministic engines built on RETE-style rule networks produce identical output for identical input, a prerequisite for sanctions screening and audit.
How Address resolution works in practice
RETE is the classic pattern-matching algorithm for production rule systems: rules compile into a discrimination network so thousands of conditions evaluate efficiently and — crucially — deterministically.
